Reverse Osmosis (RO) has been widely accepted as the only trusted technology to obtain pure water. RO is also the most economical method of removing of all contaminants from Water (95% to 99%). The pore structure of RO membranes is much tighter than Ultra Filtration (UF) membranes with capability to reject practically all particles, bacteria and organics . RO also involves an ionic exclusion process; where by only water molecules are allowed to pass through the semi-permeable RO membrane, while virtually all ions and dissolved molecules are rejected. Hence, RO technology is used by water bottling plants, institutional, commercial and industrial water supplies that require ultra-refined water for consumption directly or Pre-Treated application.
